BT's ADSL network is very good. I've had three line drops in five
months, and each time it reconnected immediately. My connection has
currently been up for 485 hours.

however, BT's ISP is pretty dire. Get a decen tISP, like Claranet, Zen
or Nildram and you'll be OK.

That's a cable modem service, not ADSL.

They went bust a couple of months ago. They've been taken over, but the
service appears to have been patchy since then.
